It's been so long!

Hey guys!

I know I haven't posted in a while but I've been busy watching the IT Crowd and playing Minecraft! Hooray for the school holidays!!!!!!

How awesome is this creeper necklace! It the AWESOMEST gift ever!

And to the right you'll see the sign we put on the door of the school
computer room! We waste our lunches away in there!

This is probably the most recent picture. We went out to dinner at a French restaurant, and mum ordered some Absinthe for dessert! The fire on top is burning sugar into the drink. I was excited because both the IT Crowd and Black Books refers to it...both written by Graham Linehan! Sorry for the bad photo it was dark, and my editing skills aren't that up to scratch!

Speaking of Black Books...this is what we did to my friend's brother's coat! 88 degrees post its everywhere!

Well that's pretty much everything!!!!!!! See you, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Japanese Dollar Stores

Hey guys!

I just thought I'd let you know of these awesome shops.

Tokuya and Daiso are 'Japanese Dollar Stores', and pretty much everything is $2.80, and I can guarantee that for the Tokuya I go to. Everything is imported from Japan and there are some really cute things there. There are a lot of practical things, such as lunch boxes, drink bottles and umbrellas as well as hosiery and socks. Basically, these places are mini supermarkets. Their crockery is really cool and cute, and believe it or not, they sell doorknob and table leg covers!

I suggest you type 'Tokuya' or 'Daiso' into your favourite web browser.

Good Apps

Hey guys! I thought I'd make a list of good apps you can get on iPod touch and iPhone.

Top 10 iPod apps:

1. The Impossible Game
A great, very hard game. You can have a go at the lite version on the impossible game's website, but don't download it, only download the full version.

2. Temple Run
A great app, really addictive. If you want a game similar try Subway Surfers.

3. Tiny Tower
A great, simple, low quality game. You run a tower block and build floors, earn coins, and make sure your floors are stocked. Try and match up your 'bitizens' with dream jobs and what they're good at while keeping an eye on 'bitibook'.

4. Pocket Planes
Similar to Tiny Tower, but with airports. Choose a start city, level up and build more airports in more cities and fly planes around the world.

5. Radiant Defense
A game of, obviously, defense. Build weapons to block aliens from reaching the spiral, and create more of a maze to slow the enemy down.

6. Bejeweled
A great game of swapping jewels to make three in a row. Match up more to get powerful gems, and have a go at the other themes available.

7. Cut The Rope
A great game of strategy to get the candy to the little candy eating monster, Om Nom.

8. Pimp My Screen
A great app for a range of photos for awesome home screens, app skins and awesome lock screens, and customisable screens.

9. Bag It
A hugely addicting game of strategy. Pack the items in line making sure you don't crush any! Unlock 'Rampage Mode' to unleash your rage by crushing as many items as possible.

10. Paper Toss
A great game of, believe it or not, physics. Throw the paper and make sure you take into account the wind resistance from the fan!

Okay, 10 was a hard limit, but some other cool apps are TonePad, Pac Man, Space Invaders Calculator, 100 Floors, Logos Quiz, Minesweeper, Scoops, Sky Burger, Grid Lens and Dear Blank Please Blank.

Resident Evil: Retribution

I went to see Resident Evil: Retribution a few weeks ago. I love the previous films since I received the first one on my birthday. I thought it was a good film, and could definitely see the movie scenarios as a video game, despite the fact the video game plots are quite different. I am desperate to play the games, and have been looking up the gameplay on youtube. I thought that the film was a bit of a fill in the gaps sort of thing, as it set up the final installment of the series. It's not a film you can go and see without seeing the rest of the series, as there is a lot mentioned and significant characters from the last films.

I watched Ed Wood (directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp) and Dead Man (also starring Johnny Depp) the other day. Ed Wood follows the story of the director Ed Wood. It is a great film, filmed in black and white. I first thought it was going to be pretentious at first, but it turned out to be great. Its acting style and cinematography are done like an old film and the credits are pretty much directly from Plan 9 from Outer Space. Dead Man is also in black and white, with a great soundtrack by Neil Young. The film is interesting in the sense that it is a series of vignettes put together to make a storyline. We follow William Blake in this film, who ends up having to escape from death, and meets an Native American called Nobody along the way.

I definitely recommend you see both these movies, found in the Arthouse or World cinema sections of the video store.

Oh, and by the way... www.iwastesomuchtime.com is an awesome site! You'll find links to others there!

Neil Armstrong Dead!

I was sad to find out when I checked the weather this morning that the headline on bigpond was that Neil Armstrong was dead. He was 82. It's sad that he's dead, because he was the first man on the moon, and I'd always known him to be alive, even though I'm still a kid. Luckily, Buzz Aldrin (lunar module pilot on Apollo 11 and second man on the moon) and Michael Collins (command module pilot on Apollo 11) are still around to remember him. :'(
